D. G. Beers 1873 Maps of Luzerne County
(click on image for full size)

The Atlas of Luzerne County Pennsylvania. From actual Surveys by and under the direction of D. G. Beers & Co., 1873

These maps were produced before Lackawanna County was formed from parts of Luzerne County in 1878. They show both the geographic features of an area, as well as the locations and names/owners of many of the homes and stores. As a result, they are invaluable as a genealogy tool. This is the full set.

NOTE: All maps are scanned in overlapping sections in a width that can be printed on 8 1/2" wide paper, but may be longer than 11". For best results, save the images and print from an imaging program, rather than your browser.

The scans are numbered beginning at the top left corner and moving across to the right. The next row begins again at the left. In order to make the maps legible most have been scanned at 150% of full size with a minimal amount of compression. As a result, they will take time to download. Each map has it's own milage scale noted.

Maps are listed by page number with the alphabetical links in the tables
