First Christian Church, Providence

First Christian Church, Providence, PA
The First Christian Church is at 2045 North Main Avenue, Providence (down the street from the First Presbyterian Church). In Hitchcock's book, page 310, the pastor listed was Rev. George Woodman. The church was established in 1833. The last service was held in June, 2018.

St. John's Lutheran Church
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at Adams & Mulberry St., and Zion's Church on Mifflin Ave., became St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and following, in 1927 then purchased the Second Presbyterian Church edifice at 425 Jefferson Ave.
The merger of  St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, became effective December 31, 1971, and is now known as St. John's Lutheran Church, at 425 Jefferson Avenue (shown above).
