Griffen Burying Gound, Providence, Scranton, PALocated in the 1000 block of N. Main Avenue, next to the Providence Jewish Cemetery. It dates back to at least 1840, and is one of the earliest farm cemeteries in Scranton. It has been overgrown and abandoned since at least 1915 according to an article in The Scranton Republican. Sometimes spelled Griffin.
